Camels have a communicable disease too?!! Middle East Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus(MERSCoV).  Research has it that although not quite sure, the disease, popularly know as MERS, emerged from bats and was transmitted to camels sometimes in the past.  It's a virus that comes from a large family of viruses that causes disease ranging from the normal fever to a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS- that is difficulty in breathing and may sometimes cause death).  MERS is a  zoonotic virus , meaning it is a virus that is transmitted between humans and animals and humans are infected through direct or indirect contact with infected dromedary camels.
